NYAF

The con was pretty fun. I've learned that 3 people can fit inside my Monster in the Darkness costume. I want someone to dress as O'Chul(aka Mr. Stiffly). There were a lot of awesome costumes. I went with some DnD buddies. I ran into a bunch of people I knew from Highschool and College. That was cool.

Friday

I dressed as Ranka from Ouran Highschool Host Club. Only one person recognized the character. I didn't know who half the characters were in the Cosplay Dating game. There were some amusing questions. One involved a contestant answering with "I am a dictator."
Voice Acting 101 was a basic question and answer panel. Some of the VAs demonstrated their voices, and how things can be complicated if they voice different characters in the same scene.
Cencoroll was confusing.
The Cosplay variety show had some interesting parts. A girl played a violin. A guy dressed as Shuichi dance. Some Macross girls sang.

Saturday
International Cosplay was sort of boring. There were a few interesting parts. Japan is more about photos than skits. The French like to add things to their costumes instead of going for complete accuracy. In Mexican conventions, people get discounts for being in costume. The host did not seem to understand my question about joke costumes. He thought I only meant crossplaying. I wanted to know more about things like Loveshack(A pink version of Rorschach).

I signed up as Madarame from Genshiken for the anime LARP. The GMs congratulated me on choosing that character. One of my friends played Ataru Moroboshi from Urusei Yatsura. Another friend signed up as Kaneda from Akira. I didn't do much on Saturday, other than watching Ataru lift a car over his head with one hand to impress Android 18(he succeeded on the difficulty check). He managed to get Android 18's phone number.

I went to the Naruto photo shoot. I was dressed as Shino from the Shippu Konoha Gakuen Den special. I don't think anyone there recognized me. Someone cosplaying as Timeskip Shino tried to block me during the Team 8 part of the shoot. Some poses were fun.

Iron Cosplay was fun to watch. The contestants made Poison Ivy and Urara from Space Channel 5.
The Urara was impressive. They used a plastic bag for the top and made a microphone out of random scraps of cloth.

I stood in line for the Masquerade after that. I barely got in to the actual room for it. I really liked seeing Bumblebee dance. The winning skit was from Vampire Hunter D. It was pretty effective in showing a vampire controlling a victim. There was another Vampire Hunter D skit where D's hand was singing Manamana from the Muppets. I thought the skit where L from Death Note made a sundae was the most entertaining.

Sunday
I spent most of Sunday at the LARP.It was cracktastic. Madarame has the power of being an otaku. It allowed to look at the other character sheets if I beat them in Rock Paper Scissors. I failed my otaku check against Italy from Hetalia and Kaneda from Akira. I got Ataru and Usopp to join the Genshiken. There were a lot of One Piece characters. At one point the plot was rewritten and the strong characters beat down a rampaging plot bunny.
Italy gave everyone pasta. The Italy player was great. Fai from Tsubasa bit Italy and made him cry.
Kaneda accidentally hit on a middle aged man(whose player was female).
There was a final battle. The monster was defeated by Italy critically failing a driving check and setting off his grenades. Roy Mustang agreed to let Italy drive if he would wear a tiny miniskirt.
The characters eventually took portals back to their homeworlds(or whatever world they chose). L from Death Note chose to follow Kaito Kid into the world of Detective Conan. Ataru followed Ahiru from Princess Tutu into the One Piece world. Ahiru and Bon Clay made friends.

Anime Parliament was a bit of a let down. Too many people didn't understand the rules(about involving only fictional characters and about how a character has to violate the laws in their own universe for a case to brought against them). Goku was charged with parental abandonment. Sasuke was charged with abusing his backstory.

Harry Potter HBP the movie

I saw HBP. The movie is probably old news to most of the people on my flist. The theater was pretty empty.

The movie was effectively edited.Parts of it seemed like it could be a horror or action flick.

Dumbledore totally kept Harry from getting some Muggle tang. The explosions in the beginning were pretty cool.

Lavender, Cormac, Slughorn and the Carrows were well cast.
WTF were Crabbe, Goyle and Longbottom doing in Advanced Potions?
Tonks and Remus couplish but not annoyingly so. It wasn't much more than Tonks saying "sweetheart".

Fang's howls were well timed.

Were the silent twin girls at Slughorn's party supposed to be Polyjuiced Crabbe and Goyle?

The Inferi scene was cool. The place with the fake phylactery reminded me of Superman's Fortress of Solitude. The inferi looked like multiple gollums. The part where the arm came out of the water almost made me jump, even though I knew it was coming.

Voldemort's past was well done. I liked how teenaged Tom Riddle looked a lot like the younger Riddle.

Dumbledore's death was dramatic. The people behind me were sniffling when people raised their wands in his honor.

I was too amused at Snape saying "I'm the Half Blood Prince". The movie took out the Trio's research on the matter.

Happy New Years

Happy New Year
I have more amusing customer quotes. My coworker, Jeff told me about the odd things some customers have asked him.

1.(From inside the Opera Department) “Is the Opera Department closed?”
2.“Do you have a CD with Simon Bolivar directing the Venezuelan Youth Orchestra?
3.(Customer Jeff told me about) “Toscanini, it’s a part of Italy.”

Sadly, this isn’t the first time someone has mistaken Tuscany for Toscanini.

4.(Customer Jeff spoke with over the phone) “What is the phone number for the website?”
5.(When I mentioned a disc by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir) “Is that instrumental?”
6.(to Jeff) “Mozart, is he still alive?”
7.“Mozart, the orchestra”
8.“It’s either a song or a song title”
9.(On the phone with Jeff) “Is it a 78?”
Jeff points out that 78s haven’t been around, and that CDs exist.
“Are those played on the VHS machine?”
He points out that they are played on CD players.
“What’s a CD player?”

10.(On the phone with Jeff) Jeff mentions a recording on the label, Deutsche Grammophon.
“Does that mean I have to play it on a gramophone?”

11.(Said to another coworker, Fred) “Is there a recession sale?”
12.(Said to Jeff, when showing the customer the Mozart section) “No, I want Mozart collections, like the Temptations and the Supremes.”
13.(to Jeff) “What Barry White Unlimited Opera DVDs do you have?”
14.(Customer with a CD of instrumental music) “Does this come with lyrics?”
15.(to Jeff) “Do you have Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture played by Beethoven?””
rp meme

01. Who is your oldest character?
Oldest character I rped was a half orc sorceress called Deiowd.

02. Who is your newest character?
I think my newest is Rei Kugayama. She's a dwarf ninja. I plan on having her progress into Dread Pirate.

03. Who have you dropped that you would consider playing again?
I'll play anyone who can fit into whatever game I join. I'd like to get the chance to play Wolfram, my dwarf monk. I never really got the chance to flesh out her personality or get him into the Drunken Master prestige class.

04. Who are you most likely to drop right now?
The games usually die before I actually drop characters, so I can't tell now. I don't think I'll play Rei in future games.

05. Who will you probably never drop?
No one. I have too many unplayed character concepts.

06. Which character is the hardest to play?
Barbie, my troll adept. She's very pink and giggly. She's also dealing with the stress of goblinizing and awakening. I also am not used to magic combat in Shadowrun.

07. The easiest?
Rei. She doesn't talk much and I'm able to use her skills effectively.

08. This character is always getting shipped: None

09. This character is always getting laid:
Max, my half orc illusionist. He's nicknamed Max Hardcore, because he used his illusions to create porn.

10. Who is your lonliest character?
Barbie. She lost a lot of her friends after goblinizing.

11. Who has the most friends?
Max.

12. Why do I still keep this character?
He's amusing.

13. This character is me:
Norm is the closest to what I would be in a Shadowrun setting.

Character concepts that I haven't played:
1. A cute little gnome necromancer who likes pretty things. She wants to invent a new type of undead. So far, her name is Shelly Geranium Terri Banana Fana Bo Berri. Gnomes tend to collect tons of names.
2. An ork fratboy adept who uses a paddle.
3. An ork Street Samurai who's so obsessed with Star Trek that he looks like a Klingon and fights with a batlev. His streetname is Alexander.
4. A half orc overtone singer Barbarian/Bard. He likes to give crushing hugs.
5. A male halfling paladin with a greatsword named Compensation.
6. A socially awkward gamer geek Toreador, who's great at drawing monsters.

Snap bracelets FTW! Only two strangers recognized my Monster in the Darkness costume. Many people took pictures of it and poked it. A Mello cosplayer ran around it while giggling. A few people thought I was Stan from Okage. I wore other costumes underneath MitD, since I couldn't see anything in the dealer's room with it on and it took up too much room for the panels. I saw a bunch of friends from highschool and college. That was cool.

Friday-
I dressed as the Konoha Gakuen version of Shino. Only people in the Voice Acting Workshop recognized it. The line to get in was long. I went to the Samurai Beat Radio panel. I got nifty swag from it. It had an interesting overview of Japanese pop music. I like the Sukiyaki song. A girl asked if it was possible for her 450 pound friend to fit in a capsule hotel. Falsies on Heat were there.

I bought manga in the dealer's room.

I went to the Adventures in Voice Acting workshop. Steve Blum and Tony Oliver ran it. They mentioned how important breathing from the diaphram is. They mentioned methods of acting and how little time they had to prepare their lines. Picking a random thing to read out loud is something they suggested for practicing with enunciation. A lot of voice actors tend to try to physically match the character they're portraying. They had volunteers from the audience redub lines from Gurren Lagann. Most of them seemed talented.

I camwhored as MitD for a bit.

I went to the WTC panel. They mostly talked about their experiences in Japan. They taught Team Osaka various interesting phrases. The girls on Team Osaka were amazed at how huge American hamburgers are. I liked hearing Team Osaka say "Sexy dancing" when refering to Team USA's JoJo skit.

I went to the yaoi roundtable. The presentation was well done. There was some amusing commentary with various slides being shown. It showed how in Japan the demographics are a lot stricter. It introduced me to Fujoshi Rumi. There was a raffle at the end, and a lot of the winners were male.

Saturday-
I dressed as Ranka from Ouran Highschool host club. Flipflops suck for walking around. Only a Renge cosplayer recognized me. I got to punch a Tamaki plushie. The Ouran dud was hilarious. The room was friggin packed. People sang along with the opening song. I listened to the end of the HAPPY FUN SMILE concert. They were entertaining.

I stood around as MitD while waiting for a friend. It's a good way to stand out. I bought more manga in the dealer's room and collected swag. I got Voltaire's autograph. His concert was amusing. He mentioned how a lot of people didn't know who he was. He summarized his music by saying "your parents will hate it." I find that amusing since my main motivation for buying his cds at cons is because my mom asked me to. She wants to knit a hat with skulls on it for him. He had to end it was "When you're evil."

I stood in line for the Masquerade with MitD. I put it away when I tried to watch Shogun Macbeth from the line. I couldn't see much. The costumes looked cool.

Rie Tanaka performed. She's cute. When she said "thank you", someone from the audience shouted "You're welcome."
Clamp took over the cosplay. Carameldansen also took over. Eternal Sonata cosplayers did a take on the Geiko joke. I was relieved that he didn't say "You just lost the game." The Rozen Maiden skit was elegant. It reminded me of Copellia. Most of the skits involved dancing, but they also added other elements to it. A Gai used the masquerade to propose to his girlfriend. There was a KISS skit for some odd reason. I think they should've used the make-up to cosplay as The Four Great Ones from Cromartie High.

Sunday-
I dressed as Shino again. I went to the I Can't Believe You Haven't Seen That panel. It featured a mix of old and new things. It ranged from Rose of Versaise to Hayate: the Combat Butler.

Samurai Sword Soul had cool fight scenes. They did the Thriller dance.

I went to the Masquerade Cosplay: Am I Doing This Right? They mentioned various things about what judges look for in performance and costume. They stressed the importance of having a skit prerecorded on decent equipment. If you're going to use a cliche, add a unique twist(like having someone shoot a character's fingers off while he's doing Carameldansen). Mario mentioned a time when his wig fell off on stage. This makes me want to do a Cromartie skit that involves Hayashida's mohawk wig falling off.

Anonymous took over the stage, spouting various memes. I stood around as MitD. The closing ceremonies involved announcing the costume contest winners. I couldn't see the stage.
I-Con 27

The Con was fun. I spent more time gaming than doing anything anime related. I payed my way in, instead of staffing.

I stayed with Anthony, Ferd and Jeremy. Drew and Sam also stayed over. Voltaire didn't come this year. Sam said that he turned it down for a "walking tour". Drew translated that as meaning his car broke down.
Friday:
I watched a Brobdingnagian Bards concert. They were awesome, as usual. Another filk group called Boogie Knights performed after them. They were pretty good. I sat in the same row as Andrew McKee, with no one else in the row. He sang along with them on their Bog parody song.

I wore my Monster in The Darkness costume while outside. It was pretty popular. Even people who didn't read Order of the Stick liked it. I'm glad so many people recognized it.

I ended the night with anime karaoke. I sang Love Tropicana from Jungle wa Itsumo Hare nochi Guu. There were some technical difficulties. The sound stopped in the middle of the song. Afterwards, the staff held a microphone next to the computer, so at least the singers could hear the background music. A lot of really good singers went after me.

Saturday: I dressed as Ranka from Ouran Highschool Host Club. I carried around the Monster in the Darkness costume and wore it outdoors. I missed out of the D&D 4th Edition presentation. I spent the morning and early afternoon in the Dealer's room. One of the dealers recognized my costume. I bought a set of really tiny d6s from that dealer. They're practically doll sized.

I went to the Bards Concert. They made fun of Voltaire, and Andrew had a Yoda puppet. A few Ouran cosplayers wanted me to dance Hare Hare Yukai with them, on my way to the concert.

I made a deformed plushie in the Plushie Workshop. It was fun. I think I'll call it Moku-tan.

I planned on going to the Cabaret, but I gamed with Lance, Greg, Anthony and Ray instead. It was some pirate game. I played a loudmouthed little boy. Ray played a girl disguised as a boy. Anthony played a mechanical genius ex-slave with a fear of seagulls. Greg played an arrogant French duelist. Lance played the captain.
The game was hilarious. The Frenchman constantly got into trouble. There was a mission that freeing an escaped slave's family and getting his gold. We decided to hold his mistress and her children for ransom.
The Frenchman asked someone in a bar to draw a picture of her. The person instead wrote "Frenchmen are drunken swine." There was plenty of fighting. The ex-slaved was convinced that slavers and seagulls were forming a conspiracy against him. The boy/girl robbed a bakery. I didn't play out the "Big Mouth" flaw as much as I should've.

I caught the end of the Cabaret. Andrew sang alone at first because Marc Gunn had a nosebleed. He sang a Voltaire parody song using some Disney melody that I couldn't recognize. Marc came on stage with tissues stuck up his nose, and they sang 'Always Look on the Bright Side of Life."

Sunday It was too windy for my MitD costume. I did wear my "+1 Shirt", though. I went to the D&D 4th edition panel. The system is simplified compared to 3.5. I was too late to sign up for the official demo. They mentioned the idea of 1 enemy per PC.The alignments are good, evil and unaligned. The law/chaos axis seems to be out. This means, no more Chaotic Neutral.

I went to the last Bards concert. Marc got another nosbleed in the middle. Andrew made fun of him, because of how he sounded with tissues up his nose. He still sang, despite not being able to breath through his nose.

I played an unoffoical Demo of 4th ed. I used a Dwarf Fighter. The Healing surges are cool. Characters can heal themselves a certain amount of times per day. Dwarves can access healing surges more quickly because they're Resiliant(unless Second Wind is something else). The classes have some cool powers. Fighters and Paladins can mark enemies. For Fighters this gives a -2 to the enemies for attacking allies. For Paladins, this damages the enemies whenever they attack allies.

I don't think Dwarves improved very much. Their resistace to poison only increased by 1 point. They're just as hard to knock down as they were in 3.5. In 4th ed they have low-light vision instead of darkvision. Half-Orcs(my favorite race) and Gnomes are no longer PC races. Instead there are Tieflings and Eladrin. Warlocks are now a PC class.

I played Wegs. My rolls were horrible.

I ended the Con with Action Figure Theater. This involved playing with action figures for an hour. I brought my posable Sakura from Streetfighter. I had the only videogame character. All the others(with the exception of Dr. Who 9 and 10) were from comic books. We did things like having them linedance and form a cheer pyramid. I brought out my tiny dice and made them gamble.

I did these for my Shadowrun characters.

1. Choose a few of your own characters.
2. Make them answer the following questions.
3. Feel free to go ahead and add some questions yourself!!

1. Who are you?
Norm

2. What's your favourite food?
Strawberry flavored soy shakes.

9. Everyone has secrets.

11. Do you love anyone?
Sure.

12. What is your job?
I repair armor and weapons. I'm also a pretty good sniper.

13. Boy or girl?
'Girl'.

14. What do you do to relax?
I watch anime. I really like the classic flatscreen shows. I read a lot of manga and doujinshi. I like to draw.

15. There's a person who's teasing you; what could you do?
Either laugh it off or tease them back.

16. Let’s say you have a person who you really care about but she/he doesn’t know about your feelings. How do you tell her/him?
Just tell them directly.

17. What do you regret most in life?
Nothing yet. I'll find something if I get older.

18. Do you like your maker?
Huh? I get on with my parents fine.

19. Do you dream?
Sure, this one time I had this dream where my entire team was human. We sat around a table and rolled dice.

20. Have you ever had an operation?
Yes. I have some cyber enhancements in me.

1. Who are you?
Kelly Berkowitz. My street name is Barbie.

2. Do you have any brothers or sisters?
No

3. Are you a virgin?
Yeah

6. Who's your mate/spouse?
I don't think I want a boyfriend now. I'm still dealing with the stress of goblinizing and awakening.

7. Do you have any kids?
No.

8. What's your favourite food?
Soyburgers.

9. Have you killed anyone?
I don't think I have. I wasn't fully aware during the changes.

10. Have any secrets?
Maybe, I do...

11. Do you love anyone?
Yes. What do you do to relax?
Watch simsense, shop, spend time with my friends, play around with makeup.

15. There's a person who's teasing you; what could you do?
Ignore them. It does get really annoying when someone wants to "shoot the troll". Who started that fad, anyway? It's totally tacky!

16. Let’s say you have a person who you really care about but she/he doesn’t know about your feelings. How do you tell her/him?
I'll show it by being a good friend.

17. What do you regret most in life?
Goblinizing.

18. Do you like your maker?
Not at the moment.

19. Do you dream?
Sure.

20. Have you ever had an operation?
I don't have any cyber. I'm magical.
I don't think the designers had this in mind

I played some Soul Calibur 2 today. I used Astaroth. The CPU opponent was Kilik. At one point it looked like Kilik poked his rod up Astaroth's rear. I think it was related to their positioning and Astaroth's larger size.

Happy New Year

I'm going to post some interesting quotes from customers at J&R. They're in no particular order. They either amused or confused me.

1. "What's the difference between a compact disc and a cd?"

2. "He just died in 1982."

3.A customer was looking for Glenn Gould cds. I showed him a cd of Gould playing Bach's Goldberg Variations.
He said,"I want Gould, not Goldenberg". Perhaps he was melding Brandenburg and Goldberg together in his mind.

4."Do you know where I can find a tedium? It's like a hymn."
It took me quite a while to realize that he meant Te Deum. He even spelled it like the word 'tedium'.

5."The fat chick from The L Word plays the cello. Do you have anything by her?"

6.A customer wanted a greatest hits cd. I showed him a cd that said 'The Greatest Hits' on it.
His response was"Who's this? T-H-E-G-R..."

7."Do you have Bocelli performing in Toscanini?" I think he meant Tuscany.

8.A customer asked for Mozart. I asked her if she wanted any particular piece.
She said," I don't want pieces. I want the whole thing."

9. "So, you're not playing the same music upstairs as you are downstairs?"

10. "Are you Elgar?" This person was looking for graduation music. Apparently, he was told to find Elgar. He didn't realize that Elgar was a composer. I pointed him to the Elgar section.
"Is she good?" he asked. I pointed out that Elgar was male. I included the "Sir" before his name.
The customer responded with "He's British?"

A lot of people called Andrea Bocelli, "Botticelli".

strength based rogue

Edited for a randomly generated character.

I Am A: Neutral Good Dwarf Rogue (2nd Level)

Ability Scores:

Strength-14

Dexterity-11

Constitution-9

Intelligence-12

Wisdom-9

Charisma-10

Alignment:
Neutral Good A neutral good character does the best that a good person can do. He is devoted to helping others. He works with kings and magistrates but does not feel beholden to them. Neutral good is the best alignment you can be because it means doing what is good without bias for or against order. However, neutral good can be a dangerous alignment because because it advances mediocrity by limiting the actions of the truly capable.

Race:
Dwarves are known for their skill in warfare, their ability to withstand physical and magical punishment, their hard work, and their capacity for drinking ale. Dwarves are slow to jest and suspicious of strangers, but they are generous to those who earn their trust. They stand just 4 to 4.5 feet tall, but are broad and compactly built, almost as wide as they are tall. Dwarven men value their beards highly.

Class:
Rogues have little in common with each other. While some - maybe even the majority - are stealthy thieves, many serve as scouts, spies, investigators, diplomats, and simple thugs. Rogues are versatile, adaptable, and skilled at getting what others don't want them to get. While not equal to a fighter in combat, a rogue knows how to hit where it hurts, and a sneak attack can dish out a lot of damage. Rogues also seem to have a sixth sense when it comes to avoiding danger. Experienced rogues develop nearly magical powers and skills as they master the arts of stealth, evasion, and sneak attacks. In addition, while not capable of casting spells on their own, a rogue can sometimes 'fake it' well enough to cast spells from scrolls, activate wands, and use just about any other magic item.

Find out What Kind of Dungeons and Dragons Character Would You Be?, courtesy of Easydamus</a></b> (e-mail)

This is what happened when I used dice for all of my answers

I Am A: Lawful Neutral Human Sorcerer (3rd Level)

Ability Scores:

Strength-8

Dexterity-14

Constitution-18

Intelligence-14

Wisdom-16

Charisma-13

Alignment:
Lawful Neutral A lawful neutral character acts as law, tradition, or a personal code directs him. Order and organization are paramount to him. He may believe in personal order and live by a code or standard, or he may believe in order for all and favor a strong, organized government. Lawful neutral is the best alignment you can be because it means you are reliable and honorable without being a zealot. However, lawful neutral can be a dangerous alignment because it seeks to eliminate all freedom, choice, and diversity in society.

Race:
Humans are the most adaptable of the common races. Short generations and a penchant for migration and conquest have made them physically diverse as well. Humans are often unorthodox in their dress, sporting unusual hairstyles, fanciful clothes, tattoos, and the like.

Class:
Sorcerers are arcane spellcasters who manipulate magic energy with imagination and talent rather than studious discipline. They have no books, no mentors, no theories just raw power that they direct at will. Sorcerers know fewer spells than wizards do and acquire them more slowly, but they can cast individual spells more often and have no need to prepare their incantations ahead of time. Also unlike wizards, sorcerers cannot specialize in a school of magic. Since sorcerers gain their powers without undergoing the years of rigorous study that wizards go through, they have more time to learn fighting skills and are proficient with simple weapons. Charisma is very important for sorcerers; the higher their value in this ability, the higher the spell level they can cast.

Find out What Kind of Dungeons and Dragons Character Would You Be?, courtesy of Easydamus (e-mail)

another stolen meme

Make a list of all the characters in your icons. (Although you may have more than one icon of a single character, they only go on the list once.) Alphabetize it. Take the first two people on the list; that's your first pairing. Second two people; second pairing. Etc. Then write your reaction to each pairing (or a snippet of a hypothetical fic featuring each pairing).

Amano Hyo
Jiraiya
Konohamaru
Moegi
Udon
Uzumaki Naruto

Amano/Jiraiya - I'd like to read that. They could get drunk together and try to find as many women as possible to join in.

Konohamaru/Moegi - They're cute together.

Naruto/Udon - The food pairing. I've never seen fanfic or fanart of it.

Squirrelrat

The squirrels at City Hall Park are a tourist attraction. I usually see people feed them, take pictures of them and even try to pet them. The squirrels respond to this. they go up to the people and beg. I've seen them actually pose for the humans with cameras occasionally.

There is this one rat that attempts to fit in with the squirrels. It obviously wants in on the "food from humans" action. I first saw it trying to hide its tail behind a tree. It tried to look casual about it. It's as if it was saying "I'm definitely a squirrel. Pay no attention to the lack of fur on my tail."

Once a few tourists noticed that it was a rat. A little girl said "Aww, he's so cute!"
The rat understood. As soon as it heard her call it cute, it decided to try to get the squirrels to chase it. The rat is small for a NYC rat, so it's smaller than the squirrels.

It amuses me to watch the squirrels play with the rat. It also amuses me to watch the tourists take pictures of the squirrels.

DH entry

Rocks fall. Everyone dies.

Hermione created a Bag of Holding.

Hermione kept getting hit on.

Voldemort reminds me of Xykon from Order of the Stick. I could just picture him saying "Who is the butch and who is the bitch?" to Lucius.

There were lots of awesome fight scenes. This will rock in the movie. I can see people taking screenshots and adding the word "PWNED".

Dumbledore/Grindelwald
Why did I not think of this pairing before? Enemy pairings are usually very popular.

When Muriel called disguised Harry "Barry", it was totally a reference to Barry Trotter.

I have always said that the Weasleys have so many children because they wanted a girl. It amused me that the locket <s>phylactery</s> horcrux said the same thing.

Aberforth is awesome.

Luna is an artist.

Remus used Romulus as a code name.

Crabbe and Goyle had lines. Crabbe set himself and a horcrux on fire.
Goyle failed at being threatening. I don't think he fully grasped the situation he was in. He probably expected Harry to actually tell him what a "die-dum" was.
Crabbe did all the attempted torturing and killing. All Goyle did was point his wand, lose it then spend the rest of the fight unconscious. He's gonna be in for one hell of a shock when the Stunning spell wears off. I wonder if he missed the huge showdown between Everyone and Everything.

Neville is badass! Griphook is gonna be so pissed about losing the sword.
Molly is badass!
All of the legit Hogwarts Teachers are badass!

Harry and Voldemort are related?

Couldn't the people fighting Voldy come up with more entertaining nicknames?
ex: He Who Is Overly Fond Of Anagrams

After defeating Voldy, Harry would have a baby to take care of. He is the godfather of little Teddy Lupin.
